Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF)

Millcreek of Pontotoc’s Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) is a highly structured therapeutic environment for children and adolescents ages 6-21 who are in need of residential services to effectively treat severe emotional and behavioral disorders. The goal of our treatment is to allow for our patients’ successful reintegration into their homes and local communities.

Our multi-disciplinary team includes a psychiatrist, psychologist, social worker, counselors, nurses and mental health technicians. Primary care physicians are an active part of the medical management team.

The patient’s family/guardian is considered an important part of the management team and is encouraged to participate in family conferences and discharge planning. This ensures that the patient’s progress and accomplishments are maintained by the new living and coping skills learned in the program.
